Day Fourteen: Mauna Kea, Waimea and Waikoloa Beach with Friends

Highlights from Day 14 in Hawaii: One of the goals I had on this trip was to reach the summit of Mauna Kea, it's one of the reasons I rented a jeep. Alas, the weather had different plans. The summit is covered in snow and the road and all trails to the top are closed. We drove as high as we could and visited the welcome center on the summit road. We had one of the best meals of the trip at The Pig and the Fish in Waimea before visiting some friends at Waikoloa Beach for sunset and cocktails.
