Mecca Hills Slot Canyons

We got a really early start to get out of LA to beat traffic and head for Palm Springs. The plan worked perfectly and we made great time. After finding a camping spot in the canyon we did the Painted Canyon Loop hike. There are ladders set up throughout the slot canyon to get you over the rough spots, really fun!!
After reaching the end of the first slot canyon, we hiked through the desert for a mile or so to drop back into the main Painted Canyon.
We dropped back down into the main canyon and hiked back towards the car through Painted Canyon. We took a quick side trip up another slot canyon and found some awesome ladder climbs
I played around quite a bit with the panomara feature on my new phone, love the results!!
Our campsite was amazing and we had a blast as always. Here are a couple of fun pictures of sunset and fire.
