Wanting to get a few more summits under my belt, I ventured into the Sky Lakes Wilderness. It was a bit of a misadventure... The whole area burned recently and they had stopped maintaining the trail a number of years ago. Where the trail still existed there were downed trees and over growth taking over. I gave up on trying to follow the "trail" and did a cross country boonie stomp to the top of three nearby peaks: Tom Mountain, Jerry Mountain and Mudjewkes Mountain. It was a tough day of hiking and ended up at around 12 miles
