2014 Oregon Road Trip

Day 1
I left right after work and headed north on I-5 towards Oregon. The weather was great and I enjoyed the scenery until I reached the Mount Shasta area. There were a bunch of active fires and the smoke was terrible until I got to Klamath Falls.
I arrived in Crater Lake and immediately grabbed a campsite. It started raining really hard as I was setting up camp, and I was dismayed to discover that the window was missing on my tent making it wide open to the elements. After a quick repair, I set about looking for dry firewood and getting a fire started in the downpour.
The rain stopped after a couple of hours and I settled down with a couple of beers to make dinner and enjoy my fire, then climbed into the tent to enjoy some hot adult beverages and an audiobook.
