2014 World Series
Game 4
October 26, 2014
Ruth and I decided to head down and experience the madness that is a World Series Game in San Francisco! We didn't have tickets to the game (the cheap seats were $500+) but we walked around the stadium before the game and had a picnic lunch on the bay behind center field.
As the game started, we listened to the radio and heard the screams from the crowd. The fireworks were going off right over our head and the energy was electric!
After finishing our picnic, we started walking. It was a beautiful day and I had the game on the radio. We walked down the waterfront all the way to Fisherman's Wharf and then walked along the streets of SF for a while taking in the World Series atmosphere.
As night started to fall the city was awash in Orange. Every building had switched their lights out to celebrate the trip to the World Series. It was really a magical feeling. As we were walking back towards the stadium a fireworks show started behind us, it was so awesome watching the distant fireworks while standing next to Pier 1. Add that to a Giants VICTORY, and it was just about a perfect night!!
