2014 San Francisco
GIANTS
Victory Parade

October 31, 2014
After another World Series victory for the Giants, Ruth and I decided to brave the madness and experience the VICTORY PARADE on Halloween day in downtown San Francisco!! We took BART into the city, leaving very early to get parking and a place on the parade route. When we arrived in SF it was raining and cold, but the crowds were out in force.
We started at the Civic Center to get a look around before the crowds got too big during the speeches. There were a lot more toilets this year than 2012, there was a major shortage and huge problems last time. Glad they learned their lesson.
After a bit of walking around (and quick visit to the liquor store), we settled on a spot along the parade route under a tree and near the gate. It was raining steadily and everyone was soaked! We had to wait about 3 hours for the parade to start and some Fireball kept us warm. Ruth got her beer confiscated by the SFPD...
The parade finally started and it did NOT disappoint!! The players were stationed on top of double decker buses and everyone was going nuts!!
