Thompson Peak Slog 7-25-12
This peak is not fun, it is a nasty sand slog up very steep slopes from bottom to top. Unless you absolutely MUST tag every summit in the Tahoe Region, skip this one. If you are looking for solitude and a true test of your will to climb, this is your peak. If you are looking for an enjoyable hike to a Tahoe summit, look elsewhere. Grander views can be had for much less work!!
