Trail Description
I finally got a chance to reconnect with one of my favorite hiking partners, Fred.  We decided to head out to one of the classic trails in the area, the Stevens Trail. I have been on this trail a number of times, and it never dissapoints.  I had a bit of camera trouble, so the pictures were taken on my cell phone. Not up to my standards, but the best I could do.
The weather was absolutely amazing, sunny and mid 60's. It has been a crazy winter, almost no rain or snow in the high country.  When we arrived at the river we were greeted with an amazing carpet of green moss on the rocks. The sun had not yet crested the ridge, and we enjoyed lunch on the wet rocks. It was a bit cool by the water, but the company made it fell like a million bucks. The hike out was a bit warm as usual, the trail is very exposed and hot. We had to backtrack a bit due to a lost item, but less than a mile was lost. Overall, an excellent day on the trail.
The total stats for my day of hiking were:

9.25 miles

1,200 Feet of climbing
