I spent a portion of my childhood in Pollock Pines, CA. This area will always hold a special place in my heart, memories abound. I had the pleasure of hiking today with some great people: Rich, Jeannie, Carlie and James. Jeannie brought along her puppy Lena for her first hike, and she did amazing off leash. There were remnants of the recent snow storm along the lake and the clouds made for interesting photography. Our hike was about 4.5 miles round trip, perfect for a short morning outing. I made the fatal mistake of forgetting the wine and heard about it for the rest of the day..
After our hike we drove out to Fair Play for an afternoon of Wine Tasting. We had a picnic at Fitzpatrick's Winery and then visited a couple more amazing El Dorado County Wineries.
