Folsom Lake Trail Salmon Falls
4-22-12
The total stats for my day of hiking were:
14.9 miles
1400 feet of climbing
Having not worked on my Folsom Lake Circumnavigation in some time, I decided to knock out a decent portion on this perfect Sunday morning. Starting from the Salmon Falls Bridge, I headed south towards Peninsula Campground. I got an early start and was on the trail at 7 am.
The trail was empty and quiet early in the morning, but quickly got busy as the day wore on. There are an abundance of mountain bikers on this trail, but they were all very courteous and aware of their surroundings. Wild flowers were in abundance along the trail, very pretty!
